O how the mighty have fallen...
Seoul National University began publicly investigating stem cell pioneer Hwang Woo Suk over the weekend, sealing his office, securing cells and questioning him.
Hwang Woo Suk fielded questions from the media last week.
Hwang has acknowledged "fatal errors" in a May research paper that claimed the creation of 11 new lines, or colonies, of cloned embryonic stem cells. And he asked the journal Science to retract the study.
But he denied charges made by a study co-author, Roh Sung-il of MizMedi Hospital, that nine of the 11 lines were fakes.
